And I have nothing to do. Only today it's worse cos I didn't even have a single thing to do! o.O
Feel quite bad for earning money to slack. Arghhh! Maybe I should just take leave la. -_-" But that's not very nice either.
V.e.r.y.b.o.r.e.d. A combination of boredom and fatigue is probably the worst. Cos it's when it's easiest to fall asleep. I remember that's how I always fell asleep during Physics lects and tutorials, oops. :P But I haven't fallen asleep in uni yet k! *claps*
One can only play minesweeper so many times. And after playing for a few days, I finally managed to better my timing by..................................................... 2 secs. T_T Shoot me, really.
Blog-surfing is just boring. Who is as bo liao as me to update everyday!? Mails have all been checked. Facebook and Friendster don't interest me either, unless someone writes on my wall of course. Someone SOMEONE. Empty promise la! Dodo. :P
I want to read the booooooooooook. Is there an online version? At least it'll be less blatant that I totally have zilch work to do.
Oh, and I realized that 90.5FM plays my funeral song to-be quite often. Howwwwww morbid...

Yesterday was Jonjon's birthday!! Yayy the little boy is one year older! But still a little boy at heart. When Godpa was driving us back the 2 younger ones fell asleep and I remarked that 'the little kids were sleeping', much to the amusement of Momo. Yet it was so true! :) How we have all grown from the time we used to jump on Godpa's bed, taking turns to play Pinball on his computer, hide-and-seek in the big house they had, watching Momo send his 'men' flying down the string he'd constucted from the top of the staircase to the bottom, the times we used to compare our heights and have 'adventures'... (Yes, seeing a rainbow or dead cockroach was considered an adventure! How innocent we were.) All those years when the 8 of us could squeeze into Daddy's or Godpa's cars (we'd carpool!), with the 2 fathers in front and the 2 young ones on the mothers' laps... I still remember it was on one of those carpooling trips that the person I knew for 10 years of my life as Aunty -- became Godma, and then a while later, Uncle -- to Godpa. :)
We've come a long way eh? Yet so many things remain intrinsically the same... And I'm glad for those constants. :)
Plus, exciting news!!!
The Cuz called from camp last night! Extremely surprising cos I was expecting a msg and even so, I'd already forgotten about his promise to 'msg later'. Awww so sweet! :) :) Updated me about army life, toilet habits, what he'd learnt so far, explaining the army hierachy to me: company, platoon, section... (You'd think after making Wally and Grandpa explain to me I would have gotten it by now. :P)
Haha I always enjoy hearing army stories, seriously. But suddenly as I was listening to him talk I heard the sound of hurried feet in slippers slapping against the floor, some guy in the distance shouting 'How come y'all are not sleeping?!' (or something to that effect) and Sam's curt 'Eh hold on.' And I guessed that someone had come in to give them a scolding! (And that they probably had to sleep soon) Cos the last time Wally talked to me from camp something similar happened hahah...
Waited as everything went very quiet.........
Then Sam, 'Eh I call you in 5 minutes' and my bemused reply, 'Haha, ok, bye!'
Initially I was amused. Then I got worried cos I thought that Sam might be punished for talking to me on the phone when he should be sleeping!! *Guilt*
But in the end they all got punished for not sleeping! Ah well, Lippy once told me that punishment was part and parcel of everyday life. :P
So he's booking out today!! YAYY! Have no idea why I'm so happy about it since I don't see him everyday anyway BUT. Yay! Seeya soon Cuz! :D

I think the only reason I came to work today was to identify data I needed to pull out in 2 sets of invoices, photocopy them and then highlight those data.
Which, I finished in max 1 hour. (including all my dilly dallying.)
That was in the morning.
Therefore,
I've had nothing to do almost all morning.
I just approached my supervisor again after lunch and she told me she has nothing for me to do cos the invoices will only come in tomorrow earliest!
My WORD.
So I've got 4 more hours of nothingness to look forward to? (and trying to look busy everytime the boss swivels around on her chair, but it so obvious they all should know I have nothing to do!!! Glub glub glub.)
o.O
Me is terribly bored... Gah. Quick, someone, anyone!!!! Rescue me... :P

eccentricity: HEYYY elf! Jiayou! It's ending eh! And don't be so pessimistic la just do the best you can. :) And ya, my blog is all black and white so gotta add some colours to brighten it up!
lydz: Glad I came online and *hopefully* cheered you up! :) It'll be over soon yes. Trust God. :)
Alright. Dinner with Hong Hong and Wooooooon! Hahaha... I really enjoyed myself. To think someone was still worried whether I wanted Wooooooon to come! Of course I wouldn't mind. :) :) I finally tried V8's signature dish (yes Dot it's really good) and I remember how we eyed each other and then burst out laughing when an extra bowl of soup came with the lasagne cos it was a main course! Hahaha... Laughed lots, heard lotsa updates about (what else but) choir... Plus some mulling... and 'hidden secrets' were revealed! Haha... Love Woooooon's descriptions la. Circle turn into DURIAN! I won't ever forget that. :D And sorry Hong Hong I always seem to be the one stomping/kicking your feet! Bah. Ohh I was so happy to hear Yooroo's back! :) Always nice to know old and dear friends have returned (albeit a short while). Elections next sat? Hmm... compulsory attendance yes. But then again I wouldn't know to vote for who in what position.. -_^
Have been reading Chris' book on Prophetic Evangelism, and I'm halfway through! Really interesting and inspiring to see how others use the gifts of the Holy Spirit to spread the good news! Quite excited. God, are You gonna use me like that too? :D

Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
Was thinking about certain stuff.. asking the Lord, "Is this really the way You want me to go? Are You sure? Cos I'm scared! And I'm reluctant to step up and do it..." But once again everything that Grandpa said yesterday came to mind.... God doesn't necessarily call the qualified, but He qualifies those He calls.
So Lord, if You really want me to do it... send me more confirmations, cos I need to know. Speak to me, make my spirit sensitive to You. I want to hear Your voice, Lord. And if this is the way You want me to be used by You, I will obey.
This is how we overcome
This is how we overcome
This is how we overcome
This is how we overcome
This is how we overcome the devil's lies that we are not good enough... by knowing we have the victory in You, cos we are Your sons and daughters! On my knees, with my hands lifted high, I will overcome!
As for me God came and found me
As for me He took me home
As for me He gave me a family
And I'll never walk alone
In my life I'm soaked in blessing
And in heaven there's a great reward
As for me and my house
We're gonna serve the Lord!
I've got Jesus, Jesus
He calls me for His own
And He lifts me, lifts me
Above the world I know
God is in the house, there is no doubt
God is in the house, can't keep Him out
As for you, as for me
We're gonna serve the Lord!

Checked with both supervisors already and they have no work for me! Heh???
Doing that 'Heh???' expression suddenly reminded me of Lingmin, the original hehh. Haha!!! And I remember everytime I did it in school, Tng would mimic me with his MOST-irritating face. Bah. I say Tng cos his full name is too long, and his nickname sounds like a girl. :P Kinda miss the gang though. Miss all the nonsense, the laughs, hearing the guys talk... (of course I don't miss the ear pollution)
Hmm... could I actually be missing school? o.O Oh no, this reminds me.. I have to start thinking of what mods to take next sem!! Eeks. Think we're all gonna try and bid for the same classes. That'd be hilarious, us all in the same class. Hurr.
I want to take out Chris' book to read (Ah see, Chris! I really started reading it this morning before work ok! :D) but it seems kind of OBVIOUS. I mean, they KNOW I'm free, but.... it seems too blatant to bring out a book to read. :P
V8 with Hong Hong later! HOHOHO I'm gonna get killed for this. :P And I was so touched when I went online the other day and I received a notification that I had an message while I was offline. And there it was, from the dear Youzi. 'DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!' Something only the choir people will call me. :)
Aww so sweet. And once again I thank God for blessing me with dear friends. :)
Speaking of friends, well not really friends. I miss Sam!!!! Pooie. When are you coming out I want to see your non-existant hair and hear all your stories! :P Plus I think I got myself a little brother. Who loves to check his hair in the mirror and take photos. Hahaha.... :) I'm happy!
Aaaaaaand.... I want to go to the US!!!!!!! Never mind the long flight, I want to see what it's really like, for myself! All those photos and descriptions I've seen just make me wanna go. Bleah...
Hmm.. since I have so much time and nothing to do.. I'm gonna spend some time with my buddy Jesus! :) Bye all! :)

But I thought those were Your standards?
If they are...
Why is it...
Even among family we're different?
And then we have to face their looks.
Their responses of disbelief, maybe even mockery.
Those questions to which the answers they should have known.
Aren't we supposed to all be the same...?
Aren't we supposed to support one another?
When Lord, when will true unity come?
2 Chronicles 7:14
If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
As I pray, pray for the people on Your heart...
I believe that if I seek You
I can touch the people on Your heart...

Fel: Hahaha... that was Tuesday.. Rem Gold Coast? :P
MEGAREUNION!
Ok I don't have much to say about it since I left before things started.. Bleah.. Butbutbut I must say I put my afternoon to fantastic use by shopping for groceries, then thawing fishballs, (Yes Yuans I wanna kill you hahaha :P), making tuna (all those times we made tuna at home finally put to use! :D), toasting bread and finally frying the fishballs in Yuan's bread toaster (oops) but it worked! Haha.. great suggestion Nads.
I really enjoyed myself.. seeing everyone all over again (OOTGR, orange tags, blue tags), looking at old photos (MYWORD you can't even imagine how ridiculous and young we all looked! Haha!) and just being with old friends.. Great company. :)
I WANT PHOTOS PLEEEEEEEASE :D
Then after that the family came to pick me up with POOF for Fathers' Day Dinner and haha.. he was dressed so... ok half... formally! Hahahaha... Dee's fault right, Poof. :P The funny boy went to look for blogskins but is too lazy to put his blog back up. -_-" Sleep more and you'll have more energy to! :P
So well, the parents flew off yesterday. Kinda miss them, the house seems too big for just Dee and I. And oh ho, I'll be all alone tonight! (Now I know how Poof feels.) BUT I enjoyed the vrooming hehh. I'm safe k! Greatest compliment was when Dee went, "This is quite cool." Haha...
Tonight and tomorrow will be big rushes for me! Rush back home then to church for night sessions. But at least I'm going... right? Every word seems to gnaw away at me.... My fault? :( Ah well.
Current mood: almost exuberant. Heh. :)

YAYYYYYYYYYYYYY! :D :D :D :D :D
I'm in a happy mood today. It rained, and I wasn't in the most appropriate attire: jeans, white tee and specs... BUT it was ok! Haha.. My jeans aren't super wet, just abit at the bottom, I wore my black cardigan over and my specs weren't really attacked! :D
Praise God.
A song we used to sing when we were kids... and it suddenly came to me today! Guess it's God's reassurance to me not to worry about tomorrow or things I want to see happen hmm?
In His Time
In His time, in His time,
He makes all things beautiful in His time.
Lord, my life to You I bring,
May each song I have to sing,
Be to You a lovely thing, in Your time.
In Your time, in Your time,
You make all things beautiful in Your time.
Lord, my life to You I bring,
May each song I have to sing,
Be to You a lovely thing, in Your time.

And I'm tired. Having a headache. :( I guess all those days of sleeping late have finally taken their toll on me! Argghh I wish and wish I didn't have to work tomorrow either.
BUT.
I thank God for the camp. I thank Him for the children, every single one of them, plus the youths, young adults, teachers and parents who were there to help out. It was a blast!
Chris really did a good job of engaging the kids.. fantastic camp commandant you were! :D It wasn't easy, I guess sometimes it was stressful too cos he had many things to do, had to run around and everyone came to him with questions. Yet he managed everything well and was really an example. :) :)
The children were fantastic. Of course I found out once again that I need to be more patient and have more self-control (arghh now that's really the hard part- learning and changing.) but thank God for my group! Even though there were only 4 boys (yeah, boys! I was hoping to get the girls.) and they were all young ones, we had fun. They were cute, funny, enthusiastic... and they taught me lots. Especially how they were soooooo eager to get points. I won't forget the reaction they had to Chris' announcement that there would be one more memory presentation. (there were 3 ok!! o.O Squeezed my creative juices dry I think :P)
"HARRRRRRRRRRRR..................Noooooooooooo....... *then Akash pipes up* yaaAAAAAYYYYYYY more chances to get points! *cue the rest joining in*"
Haha.. priceless! They were a sweet bunch, I must say.
The young adults did a great job doing the games too (except for the origami one, seriously seriously. :X) and it was really nice seeing so many people engaged in the camp. The youth: runners, helpers.. Haha.. we had fun eh?
And once again, no camp is complete without the parents. The aunties put in so much effort with the cooking, sleeping late and getting up early to make sure breakfast was prepared.. organizing the cooking competition.. And the uncles! Ferrying stuff to and fro, especially those doing the guard duty at night. They stayed up all night watching the place, ensuring no dogs or strange people came to terrorize our bunks. Others who visited brought food and their support! :)
All of those mentioned above.. they didn't have to do it, but I'm sure glad they did! Thank God for them. :)
The Holy Spirit moved powerfully during the camp. The kids were drawn in during the sessions, and especially during the ministry sessions after. Even during the worship.. for myself I was afraid, nervous, unprepared and even doubtful that the kids would respond. But I didn't need to worry, for God took over! The children, youth and adults all did the actions enthusiastically and sang out loud.. and this was for all the worship sessions too! Praise the Lord! :)
During the 1st ministry session, Chris asked those who were feeling unwell to go up front if they wanted to be prayed for. Quite a number did.. and then he asked who wanted to pray for healing for the sick ones. To my amazement, a good number of children raised their hands! Wow! They had such courage and faith. Then David, Emma and Christy were picked to pray.. and as they prayed people were healed! Praise God :D
On the 2nd night, it was a cleansing session for all of us and that was the first time I saw God moving amongst the children in a greater measure than before. Kids knelt down, raised their hands and cried out to God.. Tears flowed freely. The youth and teachers also went around praying for the children.. but that was only the beginning of what was to come.
After the session on the last day, we had a time of ministry again. Everyone and I say it with confidence, everyone was touched by the Holy Spirit. God's fire really came down upon each and every one of us. Prayers came true.. I saw my prayer come true.. I witnessed words of prophesy coming true. Children prayed for one another, raised their hands, knelt down and cried.. Some were being used powerfully by God to minister to others. The minute she touched, they cried. She's gonna be used greatly, amen!
Youths and teachers cried, prayed for one another and the children, laughed in the joy of the Spirit, shook under the power of the mighty God.. so many marvellous things I can't even fully describe them. It was something I've never seen before, and I believe we must pray and believe for things to continue from here, that we will not revert back to what it was.. we must pray that the children will not forget about what happened. Rather, we must move on and up to a higher level in God!
"Do not be satisfied just because you have touched a little of Me..."
How true indeed.

Giving You our lives we'll gain the prize

Had worship prac for WMD camp yesterday and I must say I'm really excited for the camp now!! Am praying and expecting God to do something marvellous during the camp. :D :D :D
(Pin musicians to the floor, maybe?)
I've been having a cold for the past 2 days.. and today too! Today it started once I woke up! My nose.... :(
Plus my throat is now itching after yesterday's ambitious back up singing... tonsils again. :(
But I trust that God will heal me in His time, I trust that God will make me well enough to WL and go through the CC camp next week, and sing and play again at the WMD camp! I put my trust in You, Lord, and I believe that Your healing power will set me free from any illnesses! Amen.

1 Corinthians 10:31-33
31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 32 Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God— 33 even as I try to please everybody in every way. For I am not seeking my own good but the good of many, so that they may be saved.
Please read Numbers 16!!! (mentioned in today's devo) I read it and although the emphasis was on how much God hates the sin rebellion, somehow I was struck by what amazing leaders Moses and Aaron were.
Throughout their time as leaders of the Israelites, the people regularly grumbled against them, complained about the state of things, and there were even people who rebelled! (Korah's rebellion as an example) And at the end of the passage, it's stated that the plague consumed 14,700 people. So imagine how large a group the Israelites were cos 14,700 was just a part of them!
Imagine so many people being unhappy with you, so many voices criticizing your actions. Moses and Aaron could have felt really under-appreciated, perhaps even inferior. It must have been tough, cos it ain't easy to go ahead when the WHOLE Israelite community is grumbling against you! o.O Yet, instead of getting angry with the people or giving up, Moses and Aaron fell facedown when God asked them to get away from the assembly, so that He could put at end to the people at once! (This was when the people gathered in opposition against them.)
They could have said, "Yeah, go ahead, they don't support us at all!" or "They're blatantly rebelling against You and Your leaders, God, destroy them cos they deserve the punishment!"
But they didn't. Instead, Moses sent Aaron to the assembly to make atonement for the people so God would spare their lives. How amazing is that? Their love for the people was so great that they would overlook all the things the Israelites did- grumbling, opposing them, etc. They fell facedown and pleaded on the Israelites' behalf.
As leaders, we need that kind of love for our people, I need that kind of love for the kids, for Sojourners. The love that comes from God, not human, conditional love, but agape love. Love that stays firm despite possible conflicts.
Lord, I pray that You fill us with Your love, help us to see others in Your eyes and feel with Your heart...

This week has been a bit of a rollercoaster... from low to high and low and half high.. I don't even know if I'm on a high or low now. Ok I guess. Ground level. :)
Because of what happened I didn't really feel like WL-ing today.. esp yesterday cos well... for some unknown reason I was quite affected (maybe I started thinking too much) and in the afternoon as I sat alone in the office it became rather overwhelming. I even msged Dee to ask her if she could take over last minute cos I simply wasn't in the right frame of mind. But I did tell God, "Lord if You want me to do it, let Dee say no. If not, then she'll agree, despite the late notice."
Dee said no, and so I went ahead. But as I cooled down, looking to God for comfort (trust me, what Dot shared is very true. If you're sad, don't go listening to sad secular songs. It'll just make everything worse.) and strength, He told me, "When you're weak, then I am strong."
Plus, if I can praise God when something like this happens, I can praise Him in anything.
It doesn't depend on the circumstance, the strength of my arm or my voice
It doesn't depend on the way I feel
I've made up my mind and I'm gonna rejoice!
Thank God for everything really.. His Presence was here today during worship and I could see Him ministering to us. Thank You Lord!
When I started this post I said "I am blessed indeed" and I am! I'm blessed to have people around me in my time of need... To empathise with me, hear me out, give me advice.. All just lending me their eyes/ears. Thank you to Dot, Grandpa, Kane, Fel, Matt, Sam, Dee, Shee..... Whether I told or they asked first, I know God has provided friends to stand by me when I need encouragement. :)
On a happier note,
Pee Club met up yesterday!!!!!!! (After many smses and changing of time and venues :P) Wheeeeeeeeeee. I missed them so much la. And thanks to my ever-bumbling ears, I heard that Ramen Ramen was beside EC house when Yuxi meant beside TCC! Aiyy how do I manage to do such things... And when Seekie and I went into PS we couldn't find it beside EC house so we thought she'd made a mistake or it'd closed down! So we queued first and went into Ajisen! Aicks.
But ah well, being the good sports they were, the 6 of us stuck it out at Ajisen (acc I quite like it leh... how come only me?? o.O) and had dinner. But poor Yuxi wasn't feeling well and Jieying had to rush home to pack her stuff for a trip the next day, so in the end there were only 4 of us left for dessert. Walked to Cathay in search of Ben & Jerry's but it was WAAAY overcrowded, so we decided to head for citilink where Seekie said there was a nice coffee place. Showed them dear ol' SMU along the way *snickers* and walked them through the underpass! Actually it's really convenient that the whole school is linked underground. Makes walking to Cityhall seem shorter! :D
Went to the coffee place and it was nice! But there were no seats -_- so we crossed over to Suntec to get Starbucks and again, there were no seats! In the end we got our drinks and headed for the basement where we crashed some restaurant which was already closed but had all its chairs and tables laid out! Hahaha... And no one chased us away, yay! Sat and talked and that's where the laughter really started. Man I had fun.. Ahhhh I hardly laugh so much, really. Truly laugh my heart out. (Getting niao-ed and laughing paisehly/due to the sheer nonsense of our bickering does NOT count ok, mr tng! bah.)
14jun is set ah! Maybe I should just take leave the whole week, hmmm?

When you've prayed every prayer that you know how to pray.
Just remember the Lord will hear and the answer is on it's way.
Our God is able.
He is mighty.
He is faithful.
And He never sleeps, He never slumbers.
He never tires of hearing our prayer.
When we are weak He becomes stronger.
So rest in His love and cast all of your cares on Him.
Do you feel that the Lord has forgotten your need?
Just remember that God is always working in ways you cannot see.
Our God is able.
He is mighty.
He is faithful.
And He never sleeps, He never slumbers.
He never tires of hearing our prayer.
When we are weak He becomes stronger.

And then I looked at the sender and smiled. Haha.. Aww sweet la you! Thanks for emailing! Loves. :) :) (Always sneakily reading my blog then never tag right?? Tsk tsk :P)
Anyway, yesterday was dinner with BSTDQ! Rahahas figure that out by yourself. But I'll probably give the answers away anyway. Q proved to be the crazy driver I know he is by changing lanes like mad on the way to Tea Party! And S was just trying to catch up, but may I say he did a superb job of it! :D
Wahhh Tea Party is super super duper nice la. Quiet, ambience is superb, and they have SOFAS! Lots and lots of sofas! So we sat downstairs and the best part? They have games too!! Wheeee! We played Uno (with the special 7's, 0's and intercepts taught by Gerald at Grandpa's 21st bdae :D), Fact or Crap which was suuuper funny, and TABOOOO!! All along I've only played Taboo with the choir peeps, but from yesterday things have changed! And it was fun heh. The best line of Taboo last night? (Grandpa, this is for you!! Hahaha!)
Dot: A dodobird is..............?
Sam: ............ Alvin?
Us: HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!
The answer: Extinct! Hahahahahhaa ohmyword we just died there.
I looooooooooove Taboo! Let's go more often and play more! Though if we play too much we might end up knowing most of the cards, like Quan. I think we played many many many rounds before deciding it was time to go [Again, I was the deciding factor but oh well. They're understanding. Gan1 Cui4 about it. That's what it should be. The more you give me sad looks the sadder I'll feel, so.. yeapps. :) ]
Sam drove me n Bran back, (ahaha no ants biting your backside right?? :P) Quan drove Dot and Mo back. And Sam overtook Quan along the way! Wah, shocking. After sending Bran back, Sam did a grandpa.
Definition:
To do a grandpa-
To insist on handing over the keys to someone other than the rightful driver and go ahead with his/her plans with/without the other party's consent!
So again, ignoring my protests, the wonderful cousin pulled over at a bus stop and we had to switch places! Bah I was terrible, to say the least. But Sam was super encouraging and nice la.. eh you should be a driving instructor! :) :) (And my pops should learn from you hmpfs. Mo knows. :X I know I'm lousy laaa! Bah.)
I'm glad we had the dinner to just have fun and stuff. Thanks guys! :)
And I've learnt the hard way yet again.. don't ever, ever take the friends around you for granted. Don't ever think you have lots of time, that they'll be around for awhile. Cos when they're suddenly taken.... You won't even have time to regret.
Until now I still can't really believe it... it's never happened before. We weren't close, but we could at least get along. He was a nice guy. We went home together once. He was in some of my classes. He always came to talk to me online.. but recently cos of work I always said "I'm at work, sorry I can't chat! Take care." and now there's no more next time. He was only my age.
Guess God's trying to tell me something....
